Good: I dont know, never seen a working product.

Bad: Dead on arrival unit, lack of customer support

Comment: I bought this and on delivery it was dead. Never seen it working. So I called the company I bought it from and asked for an RMA, to be told it has to go via Acer. So I phone Acer to find it would take TWO WEEKS for a replacement on a DoA box!
I told them to forget it and demanded my money back from the company I bought from under consumer rights act. TOTAL P**S TAKE COMPANY, ACER.

I could buy another, but out of principle, I won't.

Good: Great performance, beats the hell out of Sky+, quiet, well-specced

Bad: Use of UJ-845S optical drive means much furtling to make it multi-region

Comment: At the top end of my budget when I was looking for a multi-purpose Media Centre PC but I've managed to replace several boxes with just one! The eBay resale value of my hard drive/DVD recorder, pair of Freeview boxes, DVD player and Squeezebox have more or less paid for this superb piece of kit. Apart from saving space, it also makes programming the universal remote a whole lot easier.

Good: So far nothing

Bad: Having to wait 2 weeks or more for repairs

Comment: I purchased a 500 unit two weeks ago and it was not working from the start. Acer asked to return it to them rather than the shop where I bought it from. I guess I could have had an exchange for a new unit but instead I am still waiting for the unit to be repaired.

Good: Nice design - but all superficial

Bad: Quality of components so bad that the product is virtually unusable

Comment: Not worth even half the price - actually not worth anything - I'm trashing mine and forgetting the investment - the quality of the TV tuners are so bad that even all resolutions there is flickering and really bad pre-VHS quality.

DVD pleyback also bad - visibly worse than my entry level DVD.
