What is it: 27-inch, unibody, all-in-one desktop PC
What we think: Although not much faster than its predecessor, the LED-backlit display and spec tweaks are welcome

We like:
Better specs at a similar price point to its predecessor; big, beautiful, bright display; all-aluminium case
We don't like:
Included Magic Mouse is an acquired taste; with a widescreen, high-definition display, the iMac would benefit from a Blu-ray drive
CNET UK judgement:
With a 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, the 27-inch Apple iMac that we reviewed doesn't offer a dramatic increase in speed compared to previous models, but the LED-backlit display and specification tweaks are still very welcome. Unless your current iMac is on its last legs though, we'd be inclined to wait and see what the upcoming quad-core version of the 27-inch iMac offers
