What is it: Multimedia PC aimed at video enthusiasts
What we think: It's one of the best-looking desktop PCs in recent times, and comes with plenty of extra hardware and software to help it stand out from the crowd

We like:
Looks; BTX chassis keeps things cool and quiet; plenty of IO connectivity
We don't like:
SideShow -- aka MiniView -- screen is pointless
You might also need:
High-res display
CNET UK judgement:
The XPS 420 is fast, well-equipped and looks gorgeous. It's also the first desktop we've seen with a SideShow display. Don't be fooled though -- many of its features are ultimately just gimmicks
