Typical price: £1,299
What is it: All-in-one desktop PC with touch-sensitive display
What we think: A brave concept with some interesting features, but it's let down slightly by mediocre performance

We like:
Touch-sensitive screen; interesting design
We don't like:
Mediocre performance; lack of upgrade options
You might also need:
External hard drive
CNET UK judgement:
The TouchSmart is one cool PC. We doubt we'd use it in the kitchen, as suggested by HP, but its all-in-one form factor is nice to look at and the touch-sensitive display is a good, if occasionally unnecessary, addition.
