Good: It looks good at a distance
Bad: Poor lens quality
Comment: I bought this camera new as an impulse buy to replace an old HP one. I have used Pentax cameras almost exclusively since the early 1970s so felt attracted to it, especially as I do have a Pentax 110 SLR which sadly I do not use as it has the same problem as this digital replica. The photos look as if they are taken through a plate of jelly!
I had actually returned to this site (after eyeing up a Panasonic TZ30 to go along with my TZ8 which is great) to see if there were any comments, before checking the daunting instructions, if there was a way to get clear sharp photos. Your comments have convinced me that this is just a pile of junk, £60 down the drain.
I think that as it is so bad I will advise Pentax and then shove in the cupboard with all my film cameras and a collection of early Olympus Pen and let my executors sort them out in due course!
I don't feel I can sell it on, as I would feel guilty and it would be so unfair to any buyer, unless they just wanted it to put in a display cabinet! Even then, on close inspection, it is really just a pile of tat and it reminds me of the old camera table lighter from the 1960's!
There are many good and great digital cameras out there; sadly, this is not one of them. Bad show Pentax.
