Good: Excellent picture quality, rock solid build quality, simple to use.
Bad: Accesories such as lenses and cases are hard to get hold of at moment
Comment: I think that this is a great camera. It feels good in the hand, and takes great pictures whether it's used in full auto or programmable modes. I bought this Camera to replace a Nikon S9100 and it really delivers. The size of this CSC camera sits really well between that of a compact camera and a DSLR. It really works for me and meant that I didn't have to revert back to a DSLR after my poor experiences with the Nikon compact.
I thought I would also provide my feedback on a few of the points mentioned in some of the comments -
I personally do not want an electronic view finder and would not want the camera shape changed to accomodate one in subsequent models, I think that the GX1 is great just the way it is - it has a big lcd screen and the body has good square lines - if I did want an EVF, I can either buy the optional one or select an alternative model.
Also, I think the chunky retro look is fantstic, and harks back to the earlier models Panasonic released, before they started trying to release models that please everyone - which I think resulted in a slight loss of direction for some aspects of their later Lumix models with regard to styling and function. I think it will be the case that some people will love the looks and others will hate them!
Also, I personally think that the manual controls are about right for this kind of camera. Beginners definitely may need to look elsewhere - but I don't think that a CSC such as this is aimed at complete beginners (although in intellifgent auto mode anyone can take great pictures).

Good: low light capability,fast AF good improvement from GF2
Bad: EVF very expensive, too many controls to achieve good picture not for beginners, on and off switch looks cheap
Comment: I hope next gen GX will have built in EVF will have the following features
low ISO setting 80, built in EVF, pro looking dial knob(current knob looks cheap)

Good: lens
Bad: it doesnt look that good when you're taking pictures with it the looks quite out dated
Comment: nice camera but the look isnt great it looks outdated but the picture and video quality is more than amazing its outstanding

Comment: High resolution LCD would have made it unrivaled.
