The EV compensation controller's rather potty too. It shows you thumbnails of 'corrected' images to choose from, rather than offering a simple slider. It's hard to tell one from another, and takes too long to use.
It's a pity there are no more advanced manual modes, too. The average superzoom has them, so why not a superzoom compact?
Conclusion
The Olympus mju 9000's a fairly smart little camera. It beats the latest Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ6 and DMC-TZ7 with 12 megapixels to their 10, but they've got a 12x zoom instead. While the 9000 has an attractive finish, the TZ6 and TZ7 are ever-so-slightly neater and more elegant, although you may disagree.

Good: The feel of the camera
Bad: the colours are terrible!!!!!!!!!
Comment: I took some photographs of chair sashes in many different colours for my wedding business with my new Olympus mju 9000. Bright pinks, gold, siver, burgundy on setting iauto indoors. My friend used her canon powershot. Her photographs will be on our web site and mine will be put in the recycle bin. Unless I don't mind very unhappy brides who are shown one colour on the web page and given five shades differant on their wedding day!!!!!!! How can a camera be so inaccurate or is the photographer!!!!!!!!!
