Bad: Terrible customer support
Comment: We bought a similar Samsung HD camcorder (HMX-10A), and not long after, the Li-ion battery overheated in the camera and swelled to the point where it could barely be taken out of the camera. Samsung claimed it was out of warranty (even though this was a clear customer safety issue when Li-ion batteries overheat).
Replacement parts they claimed are only handled through 3rd party company (although Samsung locks the battery so that only their own battery can be used; other 3rd party batteries will not charge). This company (samsungparts.ca) charges a 200% (Two Hundred Percent) mark-up over the US charge for the part, so a battery which costs $35 in the US, costs $75 in Canada.
Samsung will not support your purchases; just do it right and get a Sony or Panasonic camera from the start.
