Good: It is compact and easy to use.
Bad: It is very unreliable; I am on my third one as they keep breaking down with electronics problems.
Comment: It let me down on a spectacular trip to Switzerland, where it stopped recording for 2 days and had problems with the zoom throughout the holiday. I am glad that I took out an extended warranty.

Good: easy to use, cheap
Bad: nothing
Comment: it costs less than many stills cameras. Can't go wrong at Christmas with this, can you?
