Nothing, it's perfect
Review:
I would say if you want a digital camcorder a cut above the competition then buy the MVX35i. Even if you have to pay the normal £599 it's still worth it, because you have prosumer quality footage on DV tape, then you can record MPEG4 on a 1GB SD Memory Card (well that's what I use).
So, 10 out of 10 for image quality, and believe me when I say I'm fussy too, and 9 out of 10 for build quality. I've forgotten to mention it has a rather powerful spotlight at the front for low light but I never need to use it - the camera seems to handle low light better than my top of the range Sony DV camcorder. While the Sony's colours looked washed out in low light, this is where the Canon MVX35i shines through. I know you can get 3CCD camcorders for the same price, like the Panasonic GS250 for £599, but it doesn't perform as well in my opinion after using one!
No other DV camcorder or 3CCD camcorder has all these features, including the MPEG4 recording, at this price mark.
