Typical price: £900
What is it: HD camcorder with 9-megapixel photo capability
What we think: Equally adept at shooting video and photos, it'd be a dead cert if not for the price

We like:
Good picture quality; three slow-motion modes; effective optical image stabiliser; unusual but appealing design
We don't like:
Expensive; fiddly menu system; only 5x optical zoom
