Typical price: £410
What is it: Pocket-sized 20GB hard-disk camcorder
What we think: If you've had enough of getting tangled up in reams of DV tape and don't care for editing, this is the camcorder for you and your family

We like:
Compact size; exceptional recording time (25 hours at low quality)
We don't like:
You have to use the poor editing software
You might also need:
A tripod might be useful for those with shaky hands
CNET UK judgement:
Though the MG20 sits at the entry-level of the hard-disk camcorder market, it's an impressive beast indeed. Long record times and good image quality for a single CCD camcorder make this a very tempting buy if you're looking for simplicity and convenience
