The Sony BDP-S570 is probably the best all-round Blu-ray player yet. Not only does it rock with Blu-ray discs and SACDs, it blows the doors off the brave new world of TV streaming. Having BBC iPlayer on tap is a huge attraction, and if you have media files on USB, this deck will do its utmost to play them. For the cash, you just can't carp. Read more

Although the 3D-capable Sony BDP-S470 isn't really worth considering unless you have a 3D TV, it's still a top-notch Blu-ray player, at a very reasonable price. Read more
