Panasonic's 42-inch Viera TX-P42GT20 lacks the wow factor of the brand's upscale VT20 televisions, but compensates with great 3D performance, solid 2D clarity and a tempting price. Read more

The BDP7500 is slightly more expensive than many Blu-ray players currently on the market, but it's an impressive machine that's worth the extra outlay. It offers speedy disc-load times, excellent picture quality and can play back downloaded Internet video in a variety of popular codecs. It looks great too Read more

We have no idea how Panasonic has managed it, but a box this size has surely never done so many things before. The BS750 lets you watch free high-definition broadcasts, record them to Blu-ray disc and play Blu-ray movies and all their cool online features. You can even watch YouTube. The only problem: the price Read more

Sony's first 3D projector is a high-end treat. The SXRD light engine is as sharp as a sushi knife, and we didn't spot any picture-spoiling 3D crosstalk effects. If you really want to watch 3D movies at home, you need to buy one of these. Read more

We loved the Popcorn Hour A-100, because for around £150 you got a media streamer that can play virtually every video format under the Sun and has enormous flexibility. Now the company has tweaked the hardware and added some new features, including HDMI 1.3 and SATA support Read more

The Sony BDP-S570 is probably the best all-round Blu-ray player yet. Not only does it rock with Blu-ray discs and SACDs, it blows the doors off the brave new world of TV streaming. Having BBC iPlayer on tap is a huge attraction, and if you have media files on USB, this deck will do its utmost to play them. For the cash, you just can't carp. Read more

Although the 3D-capable Sony BDP-S470 isn't really worth considering unless you have a 3D TV, it's still a top-notch Blu-ray player, at a very reasonable price. Read more

The 32-inch, 1080p 32PFL9604H LCD TV is a striking set for a number of reasons. Firstly, it's beautifully built. Secondly, unlike most rival 'online' sets, it offers full and enjoyable Internet access. Finally, its picture and sound quality are truly fantastic. This glorious TV doesn't come cheap, though Read more
