Yamaha YSP-2200 review
The Yamaha YSP-2200 is one of the slimmest soundbars yet. It's an ingenious all-in-one home-cinema system for those without the space for separates or multiple speakers. While the subwoofer is rather unrefined, the YSP-2200's sonic clarity and surround-sound steering is excellent. Read more

LG HLB545 review
The LG HLB545 is a fantastic machine that boasts Blu-ray playback, media streaming and a decent speaker package for around £450. It's not the cheapest, but it's a great system and we'd be happy to recommend it. Read more

Sony BDV-E370 review
The Sony BDV-E370 is not a bad piece of kit if you can get it for closer to £300 than £500. 3D is a great bonus and we did like most of the features of this home cinema system. Sound wasn't perfect but, for smaller rooms, it's pretty reasonable. Read more

Samsung HT-BD1252 review
The 5.1-channel HT-BD1252 Blu-ray home-cinema kit offers excellent value for money. Its tall speakers feel rather plasticky and their sound quality isn't the best we've ever heard, but the whole package looks slick and its video quality is excellent. The iPod dock is a welcome bonus too Read more

Samsung HW-C450 review
The HW-C450 soundbar is a good option for anyone who wants to replace their TV's shoddy built-in speakers, without investing in a full-blown surround-sound system. Its music performance is decent, but it really shines with movie soundtracks, delivering crisp dialogue and convincing explosions Read more

Pioneer HTP-SB300 review
If you're looking to give your telly an audio boost and you're short on space, the 3.1-channel HTP-SB300 soundbar could be the answer. Its audio isn't as immersive as that of a 5.1- or 7.1-channel system, but it packs an impressive sonic punch nonetheless, and it's a good-looking piece of kit too Read more
