Macworld iPhone updates: Meh
So you can send text messages to more than one person, type faster, bookmark Web pages, customise your homepage and find your approximate location using Google Maps. Great, but seriously, when are you going to make it cheaper, Steve?
Many of my friends, as you can imagine, are tech freaks and even they don't want to buy an iPhone yet. For some of them it's the lack of 3G that puts them off, but for most it's the stonking £269 price tag that has them running to other phone manufacturers.
Yes, I'm aware that all you early adopters would get very angry if Apple lowered the price now, but being the first to buy something is always going to be pricey. What about the other unfortunate souls who can't afford it at all?
When Apple lowers the price of the iPhone or O2 announces a better deal, then I'll get out of my chair and clap -- who knows, I might even buy one.

I totally agree. Apple have made a major mistake with the pricing of the iphone in the uk. We are just not used to having to buy our handset on top of our expensive contracts.
