"Avoid at all costs"
What I like:
nothing really
What I don't like:
not able to make region free. poor quality
Review:
After having set the player up it took me 3 tries to connect it to my pc. After finally having it connected the connection kept dropping several times in 15 minutes time.
It says it plays internet radio, but unlike my dp500 it relies on windows media center. Have you ever tried adding radio stations to WMC? I have without any luck.
DVD upscaling looks terrible, not even full screen but a box in the middle of my screen.......yuck. It doesn't come with a HDMI cable, lol most people buy it for the HDMI connection.
Going through your songs goes sluggish and if you have a lot of songs it can take a while before you reach the desired song as you cant type in a letter as you can in WMC.
If you are looking for a media streamer then I suggest you look further as having HDMI capability doesn't weigh up to having a region free player and a player that actually can play internet radio.
Time to get my old KISS DP500 out of the box again.

Fine for the price, but we have concerns about their durability, and their bass can be overpowering

Takes all the hassle out of backing up, but some will want more flexibility and storage capacity

Our favourite ebook reader so far, despite lacking much of the functionality found in competing devices
Sony Reader Touch Edition PRS-600
Capable, and a good choice for students, but it's more expensive than rivals and the glossy screen is horrible
