We like:
Protects the iPhone 3G well; almost doubles the iPhone 3G's battery life
We don't like:
Has a micro-USB port instead of a more common mini-USB port; considering its bulk, you'd expect it to provide more battery life

If its micro-USB port doesn't put you off, the mophie Juice Pack Air works well, both as a protective case and as a supplemental battery for the iPhone 3G, although we expected it to extend battery life more than it does
