If you need a durable, portable, and practical way to get loud, the Ion Block Rocker is an impressive and easy-to-use solution. Keep in mind that, although you can wheel it around, it's very heavy at 18 kilos. We wish the sound quality was better, and a remote control would have been nice, but you won't find a more rugged and functional outdoor iPod speaker at this price

Options are limited for those who want to make an obnoxious amount of noise outdoors -- boom boxes take batteries, bullhorns are abrasive and that Marshall guitar stack doesn't travel easily.
