What is it: Set-top box that lets you remotely watch and control your home TV
What we think: It's not as flexible as the Slingbox Pro, but it's better looking and cheaper, too

We like:
Looks; better picture quality than before
We don't like:
Lacks a Freeview tuner; supports only one source at a time
You might also need:
Sky Digital; Tiscali TV
CNET.co.uk judgement:
The Sling Media Slingbox Solo is fantastic. If you're not bothered by the fact it only supports one source at a time, and lacks a TV tuner, the Solo is the best way to control and watch your TV on a laptop or mobile phone
