Popcorn Hour C-200
We've awarded the Popcorn Hour C-200 the same score as the older Popcorn Hour A-110. Although the C-200 offers much more functionality, there are currently some issues that need to be fixed before it can reach its full potential. We're pretty sure, though, that the C-200 will be a superb piece of kit in a few months. Even considering the few problems it currently has, it's still the best media streamer on the market by a country mile
Popcorn Hour A-110
The A-110 is a decent improvement over the original A-100, with a few useful features that will be attractive to some. The price increase is quite significant, but if you must have HDMI 1.3, DTS decode and SATA support, you'll think it worthwhile
Sennheiser CX 500 sound-isolating earphones
An excellent pair of sound-isolating earphones and one of the best choices to upgrade to from the cheap bundled models that come with most MP3 players. Although not perfect, they offer good overall sound and powerful bass
Sony Reader Pocket Edition PRS-300
The Sony Reader Pocket Edition PRS-300 is our favourite ebook reader among those currently on the UK market. It lacks advanced functionality, but it delivers an affordable and highly satisfying digital reading experience
Amazon Kindle (international version)
The Kindle itself is a smashing piece of kit, but Amazon's digital bookstore just isn't ready for us to invest in. Using competing bookstores with the Kindle isn't possible and we couldn't find a single one of the 15 books we searched for. Grudgingly, we have to recommend more flexible ebook readers, despite the Kindle's impressive capabilities
Sennheiser CX 300
If you're looking for an affordable, decent-sounding pair of earbuds, start with the Sennheiser CX 300. Sennheiser's first in-ear design sounds like a winner to us
Onkyo HTX-22HD
Support for lossless audio codecs, good design and strong performance mean we're very happy to recommend this little AV receiver and speaker package. At £300 it's not the cheapest system we've seen, but it performs better than most sound-bar type systems, which generally cost quite a bit more. We'd advise paying the extra £100 and getting the speakers to make it a 5.1 system
Sony Reader Touch Edition PRS-600
In many ways, we prefer the Sony Reader Touch Edition PRS-600 to Amazon's Kindle. But it's a more expensive product and its glossy screen detracts too much from the reading experience. It's a capable device, and a good choice for students, but we prefer most competing ebook readers overall
Onkyo TX-SR607
We really had a great time with the Onkyo TX-SR607. It's an amazing-quality product that offers everything a home-cinema enthusiast could possibly want out of an AV receiver. The sound quality is wonderful and, when paired with a good set of speakers, you'll undoubtedly be blown away by this little box of awesomeness
Sennheiser CX 95 sound-isolating earphones
The Sennheiser CX 95s are excellent sound-isolating 'phones for the price, with brilliant overall sound quality and spot-on design and comfort. We can make only minor complaints about these lovely upgrades to your MP3 player
